I had never been to a Potbelly's before and was actually surprised by how cute the interior was. The menu is somewhat limited but has something for everyone. I was surprised to see that they had PB&J as an option. I picked the Farmhouse salad minus the onions (I hate, hate, hate onions) and opted to try the Potbelly vinaigrette. The dressing was really good and the salad had a lot of bacon and hard boiled egg on it and a decent size serving of chicken. The food was really good and decently priced. The interior is super cute though and that itself deserves a star. I love that everywhere you look there are random things to look at. It's got an almost old fashioned feel to it. I'll be back to try their other salads (but not too often since the options for me being gluten free are pretty limited). Oh, and thumbs up for the Zapp's potato chips they carry.

Went to lunch with my friend Tanner and his Dad, Jeff. Fairly crowded with a talkative level of volume, I was cautious of this restaurant at first. I ordered a simple pizza sandwich and received it within about two minutes. All if the staff behind the counter were very respectable and orderly, I was very pleased with their service. There was also acoustic guitar music being played by a woman with a very soothing and harmonious voice. This was what really made the lunch spectacular. We sat near the door and began our meal. My sandwich was fairly decent however there was an eyelash or hair of some sort on the bread. Disgusted, I finished the sandwich as Tanner and I listened to Jeff talk about his new job and his life. I felt I learned a lot about Tanner and Jeff during this meal. Soon they will drop me off at my house for the weekend, leaving the two to bond as father and son over my absence and persona. Hopefully we will return to this Potbelly- however next time, without the eyelash.

This place is in the heart of a great college town, with good food, swift service and nice decor. Perfect food for the college student or the college student's parents. Stop by when you're on Grand River, you won't be disappointed.

This is a complaint, but I love potbellys so I still rated it 5 stars. I just wanna complain about this retard girl currently working at the counter. I order a sandwich and she got every part of it wrong. She also got my boyfriend's wrong and the 2 people behind us. They were still good because everything from potbellys is good but someone should still fire this dumb girl.

I cannot explain how upset I am at the service received last night at this potbelly. I took my sister in law who was visiting the area to have dinner as she had never been to one. Her first impression of their business was us walking up to the die to see a sign saying they are open until 9pm. The door was locked. An employee came and opened it for us and proceeded to tell all 5 of us that they had decided to close early because they hadn't been very busy all day... It was only 530pm! I asked if they still had the food out and they said they would only serve us if we left and ate it somewhere else so they could close. There was no manager and they turned down business from 5 people by telling us to leave. ... Not a very good decision if they want to make money. Needless to say we were pissed. We left and got food elsewhere and as we drove by later they were still serving people but making them leave with their food or turning them away completely 30 minutes later! Had they just let us eat there we would have eaten and been out of there in 30 minutes! HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE. I hope the manager realizes that the employees are costing them customers and money.

I loved the Potbelly's house dressing. It was the perfect combo of tangy and sweet. It was amazing on the Italian salad. The salad came with artichoke hearts and roasted peppers. It was a great value for the price. The dining area was well kept for it being on a big college campus.

A peanut butter and jelly sandwich is not something one usually orders at a restaurant, but I was pleasantly surprised that they had this domestic staple on their menu. I ordered it, and it turned out that it beat the sandwich that my mom made when I was a young whipper-snapper (sorry, Mom). I never thought that a PB&J sandwich could be improved upon by toasting the bread, but Pot Belly's was able to make this brilliant insight, and I had the best such sandwich I've ever had. They have an old tyme, 19th-century look here, a pleasant alternative to Michigan's usual sports restaurant theme. The walls are wood work, the tables have cast iron legs, the menu is written on a chalkboard, and there are old advertisements hanging on the wall; this is kind of unique theme that I really enjoy, and I hope that Pot Belly's stays around to add to my pot belly.

Walked in having never been to Potbelly's before. The atmosphere nice, feels almost like a pub with lots of dark wood, booths, and stand along high top tables. The food is ordered Quiznos style. Pick a type of sandwich, watch it go into a toaster conveyor belt thing, pick your toppings, and pay. Pretty standard right? Wrong! What makes this place unique are the hot peppers and the pickle oil. The hot peppers are sweet and salty and briney and vinegary and amazingly crunchy and..... and no more ands. The pepers have the perfect balance and amazing flavour. Pickle oil?! WTF is that? Whatever it is, it's better than pickles! It lets the delicious pickle taste penetrate throughout the sandwich. It's genious! No more will you need to bite into a sandwhich in a section without pickle. Caution, the sandwich is messy. Very messy. I usually hate messy sandwiches but this one is an exception mostly because of the pickle oil. Overall, one of the better sandwiches I've had in a while. The location is in the heart of Grand River Ave. and the ambiance is nice. Absolutely worth the money. Don't forget the hot peppers and pickle oil.

Outstanding inexpensive place to refill. Roast Beef or the Meat Ball are alway excellent. Not a bad first date or quick meet up. Nice 30s soda shop decor.

Potbelly's serves sandwiches, which are sent through this toasting mechanism. Problem is, that toaster unleashes all the fats and oils that are usually locked up in the meat and cheeses they put on the sub, so it becomes a greasy oily mass when you eat it. Sure, it's tasty, but I get diarrhea just thinking about it.
